mufflers

Has anyone tried to modify the stock muffler yet? If so ,any success ,what
did you do?
If I drill out the rivets on the outer skin is the inner skin  stainless
steel ? Is it a sealed unit ?
I think if I can get the disc that is about 3/4 of the way in out the stock
pipe will probably work nearly as good as a performance pipe .

 Any Ideas  Thanks
