What's green and red

What's green and red and goes like hell? ......
Why that would be two Ninja 9s and a Red Sprint ST (with bags on).

SOOO much fun. I did another Mines Rd run, this time down Patterson to
Hwy 5 and back. God I love this bike. I met a couple of guys with their
SOs, riding 1952 machinery. One a HD 45, the other a 650 Triumph. The
Triumph was exceptionally clean. Both hard tails!! The HD owner also
used to own the Triumph, and says he'll get another. We talked about the
new ones a bit.

When he asked about the Sprint, my response was "The perfect bike, for
me anyways. It goes fast, it goes smooth, it goes long. What more could
you ask for?"

The Ninjas I met down at Interstate 5, and I (idiot me) forgot to change
tape. So I chased them back up to the Junction and should have had some
great footage. One rider was a newbie, and had already had one close
call, so they were taking it easy. I trailed along behind the pack for a
while, then passed two of them, the newbie and the most experienced
rider. The leader was on a 2000 9XR, and once I came up on him, I guess
the thought of the camera gave him inspiration and off we went. What
fun! I think I surprised him when I passed him with about two miles to
go. With the pannier bags on :-).

When I discovered my error (no footage, boo-hoo) I offered to tape them
back to Livermore. On the way back up, the guy who had been riding for
only a couple of months had another near off road experience, so he was
wisely counciled to TAKE IT VERY EASY, stay well within yourself. So he
left, after I told him to ride his own pace when we came around him. I
think I got some good footage, and of course the rider wants a copy.
Hmmm. Maybe I can have some fun and get a side business going here????

Another gorgeous day on my favorite road. Welcome springtime!! Ride
safe, but HAVE FUN!
