Yeah, it's a bit scary, but it seems kind of hard to mess up. The vacuum
pipe is made from corregated, semi-rigid plastic. I used a small pair of
tin snips to cut about an inch of length from the pipe, then installed
the Scottoiler adapter "T". (Just remember the old adage: "Measure
twice, cut once.")

One word of caution, though: make sure to carefully tie down the vacuum
tube that goes from the "T" adaptor back to the remote resevoir. It
should be well clear of the throttle bodies and their linkages. I failed
to do this, and the tube got caught in the throttle linkages, jamming
them wide-open. I had a bit of a wild ride...
