David you may be thinking of the Pirelli Dragon Evo's ( stock on 996
and MV F4 ) As far as I know there are no bikes being fitted as stock
with the Dragon GTS. There was a tire comparison a while back but the
GTS wasn't tested. The GTS is of very similar design to the Metzeler
ME-Z3 and Z4 in fact they are in rubber compound in between the 3 and
4. The Metzeler/ Pirelli are a little harder to flick over than the
Dunlops due to front tire profile, the Dunlops are more triangular.
The Pirelli has a more rounded profile but I find them to be very
linear over the top, yes they don't fall in real quick , which I
prefer on the street, but once heeled over they are very stable which
I also like in a street tire. The Dunlops maybe a better track tire
where one is looking for the ability to flick side to side real
quick. All I can say is that so far the Dragon GTS are a winner in my
book as always YMMV
