I polished my 2000 ST rims and it was a serious bear. First, they aren't
painted--that's powdercoating. VERY tough stuff to remove. Then you need
access to a shop with air tools to grind down the "goosebumps" on the
wheels. Then it's hand sanding for hours, starting at 200 weight working up
to a final weight of 2000, followed by Mother's metal polish and 000 fine
steel wool.

But damn do they look good when they're done!!
