Okay, I suggest let's stop slinging around estimates and get some real
objective data. How 'bout this:
Please send an email (only one) to the list with a subject of "fuel sender
official count" (without the quotes, please) with your name, your bike (year
and model), month of manufacture (found on the steering head), month and
location you purchased the bike, approximate mileage, and how many fuel sender
replacements you've had. Time for all of the lurkers to come out of the
closet...
Mine would read:
subject:
fuel sender official count
body:
Jim Huber
2000 Sprint ST
manufactured 8/99
purchased 2/00 in Houston, Texas, USA
9,000 miles
2 fuel sender replacements
