Sultans of Superslab

We did it! Rick Paukert and I successfully completed our SaddleSore
1000 yesterday on the way back from the TSRA rallye. For those of you not
familiar with it, that's 1,000 miles on a motorcycle in less than 24 hours.
Here's the quick & dirty story:

04:40 EDT	7,926 mi	Pisgah Inn - Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina
06:40 EDT	8,046 mi	Knoxville, Tennessee
08:45 EDT	8,233 mi	Collinsville, Alabama
11:40 CDT	8,422 mi	Livingston, Alabama
13:55 CDT	8,546 mi	Pearl, Mississippi
16:00 CDT	8,673 mi	Monroe, Louisiana
18:10 CDT	8,807 mi	Marshall, Texas
19:30 CDT	8,858 mi	Timpson, Texas
22:10 CDT	9,012 mi	Woodlands, Texas
22:45 CDT	9,028 mi	Spring, Texas
23:00 CDT	9,030 mi	home at last...

That's 1,104 miles in 19 hours, 20 minutes; an overall average of 57.1
miles per hour. We also passed through Georgia without stopping, so we did
seven states in a single day. We had no crashes, no mechanical difficulties,
and no traffic citations. Rick and I could certainly elaborate on why it's
called a SaddleSore 1000 if you wish...
