RE: RS Fuel Sender?

  The RS does have a fuel sender, and it has leaked, although the
replacement that I got has not.  I am guessing here, but it is probably the
same unit in the ST, it only tells the computer when to light the Low Fuel
Light, instead of a gauge reading.  Someone with an ST part number post, and
I will see if I can find anything about mine.

  It is amazing how few dealers check the internet.  I realize a multi-line
dealer would have to subscribe to dozens of lists and such, but many Tri
dealers are not huge warehouse dealers.  The amount of information on these
lists could easily help them with their customers.  Imagine walking into a
dealer and them telling you "We heard that the fuel senders were a possible
problem so we ordered a few a while back so we would have one on hand when
people have problems!"  I would probably faint.  Ahh, but if it were a
perfect world, what would we complain about.  Atleast WE have these
lists....

OK - Let me show my ignorance here.  Has anyone reported a leaky fuel sender

on an RS?  Does the RS even have one?  I mentioned the ST fuel sender 
problems to my dealer last time I was there and he kind of laughed about the

inaccuracy of the gauge but said he has not yet seen (or heard of) a bike 
that actually leaks.  Obviously, he doesn't read this list!
