Howdy:

I put on a top rack as part of putting on the top box.  I don't know if there is a
different top rack for the top box or not.  In any case, mine was tedious (due to
lots of nuts, bolts, and brackets) but everything fit ok.  However, since the top
box is rated for 100 lbs I suspect the rack or the extent of its mounting must
vary.  Perhaps not though, given your comments on the number of brackets...  :-)
