You're right...10 hp is beyond reason for normal scatter. We've been using
the same dyno for several years and have found it to be pretty consistent
among unchanged models from year to year.

It is possible that our RS wasn't up to snuff, but it didn't feel much
different than another RS I rode during the intro.

We did have a problem with color coding on the comparison dyno chart. The
raw numbers I have here show peak horsepower of 93.6 at 9500 rpm and peak
torque of 61.5 ft-lb @ 5250. (That's a very impressive spread between peak
torque and hp.) I don't have the dyno chart from the Sprint ST we tested,
but 94 hp shows about a 13% drop from claimed crank hp to rear-wheel hp;
pretty typical.
