For a beer at the, local pub = Bar in the US, from a bottle it runs about
$3.00 or $4.00 pretty much anywhere in the greater LA area. Happy hour will
see $1.00 beers and night clubs will get $6.00 or $7.00 for a beer. Are
night clubs a big thing in the UK?

The cost varies even within the UK. Using a pint of bitter as an
example, it costs 1-60 at my local pub (in the Midlands), 2-00 or more
in London, and 1-40 to 1-60 in the North. Pay is correspondingly
weighted. So I don't see why I should pay as much for a Sprint as Jim
did for his...
