Hmm, interesting... I certainly countersteered my old VFR all the time! I
wonder if you were experiencing tyre issues rather than a bike problem?
Certainly, my bikes were both fine - although yes, now you mention it, to
drop it in I used to give the bars on the VFR a solid stab just like a
boxer's jab, at which point it dropped in perfectly. The apparently wider
tiller on the ST probably makes it easier...
