So what did you fit instead of the BT57!? Mine is also completely shot
with 8000km (5000 mi) on the rear (the front has plenty left of course).
I am thinking of trying the Dragon GTS, but have to persuade a dealer to
order them here (Germany) for me without homologation....doh, what a stupid
law!

I fitted a Dunlop D207ZR because that's the only tire they could find in
stock anywhere. My first choice for sporty-distance riding is the Dunlop
D205, I've had good luck with it both in terms of stick and mileage.
I doubt the Dragon GTS will last much more than 5000 miles...I got about
5000 out of a Metzeler MEZ1 on a VFR, mostly touring.
