Gentlemen & Ladies,
Please take note. This was passed down from my MIS department. I
want to spread the word so we can limit this thing. According to radio
reports this virus has wasted Boeing Corp's network along with two other
major companies that I don't remember.

Subject: VIRUS ALERT!: W32-ExploreZip.worm
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:
A virus was discovered yesterday that is distributed through an email
message with an attached file called "zipped_files.exe" The following
message body accompanies the file attachment:
*********************************************************
"I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP.
Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs."
*********************************************************
IF YOU RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE, DO NOT OPEN OR DETACH THE FILE CALLED
"ZIPPED_FILES.EXE"!
It will destroy the contents of any files with the following extensions
stored on any local drives or network drives you're mapped to:
.c
.cpp
.h
.asm
.doc
.xls
.ppt
If you receive this message, please contact the MIS Help Desk immediately.
A virus detection update is currently being developed by our anti-virus
software vendor. As soon as this is available, we will push it out to all
Irvine users. Remote users will receive a procedure for installing the
update.
