Fuel Gauge ?

Forgive me as I know this has probably been covered a hundred times
but I'm new here. What is the mode of failure? I have approximately
100 miles on my new ST and the gauge has not budged from full yet. I
know it is supposed get good gas mileage but I really don't think it
is refining gas as I go.
