Re: Celebration .....

I'll be out there tonight with the girls (one black one brunette) checking out
the moon. It's been incredibly warm here (Northern California) the past few
days. Low sixties at night...... :() !!

Well, I just returned from my Winter Solstice celebration...

It all started at the company party tonight - I was talking to a few people
about the full moon and the subject changed to the Winter Solstice - the
official time was said to be 2:45 a.m. EST .... so I decided that I needed
to take advantage of the nice weather and the awesome full moon and break
out the ST to celebrate.

After I got home, I laid out all the riding gear and then headed off for a
few hours of sleep. Just after 2 a.m. the alarm went off and I suited up.
Fifteen minutes later I found myself turning off US1 onto the road that
would take me out to the northern end of the Space Center and into
Canaveral National Seashores / Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge.....

The ride was awesome - the temperature was a very mild 66 degrees F - and
in honor of our northern riders, I even left the vents on the leather
jacket open! ;-) The moon did an awesome job of lighting up the scenery and
I found myself wising on several occasions that I had a way to switch off
the lights.....

A little over an hour and a half later, I found myself back at my door
thinking that the ride had ended way to quick ....

I really love this bike !

- - Eric

BTW - if any of you western listers are still up and it's not too cold, you
owe it to yourselves to get out there and take a short spin....
