What is the current status on your bike anyhow?

I'm going to take the shock back up this Friday to have a different spring
fitted. There was some miscommunication between me and Tim when I placed the
order, and they built me one set up for one person. They are going to
re-build it for me while I wait on Friday. It is perfect with just me on
board, but I could care less about that since almost all of our riding is
two up and that is where I want perfection. They supplied it with a 6.5 inch
hose to the remote reservoir. That worried me, since I was planning on
mounting it to the passengers peg initially, based on comments about Ohlins.
Then I looked at a Daytona and decided mounting it to the bottom of the
battery box was a much better way to go. I added an aluminum plate in the
box for strength and slotted the bottom where the clamps go through, worked
out perfect! They gave us a 2.5 hour tour of the Penske facility and a
pretty good lesson on how the shock really works. We went over one that was
in pieces waiting for assembly. Bruce even provided some insight into little
subtleties of setting up shim stacks to get certain results. Very
informative, really cool F1 (auto) shocks, Nascar, CART, (careful not to say
Indy like I did) on and on. I never realized they supplied the Maclaren F1
team along with most of the other top teams. Also saw an Ultra cool USD
front fork they developed for an unmentionable American super bike team that
was much more trick than anything you currently see being offered by the O
brand. Turns out this team decided to use something else even though the
Penske tested better than the competition. This un-named American
manufacturer also screwed them on developmental shocks for their
Sportste...ooops, don't want to say too much now do I.
