Sprint for a test ride this past weekend. The bike is sweet, but one
negative I found with it was the heat escaping from the fairing. When I
rode, the ambient temperature was below 80 DEG., but my legs were sweating
when I got off. While I know most on the list say that the heat is
noticeable, but not a problem, I can not imaging riding with that heat
during August in Houston. What is the opinion of those that have lived
with the bike in sweltering heat and humidity? >>
Dear Jeff,
I have found the heat to be a problem only when going slow, in temperatures
in the 80-100F range, but above that the heat is noticable even at freeway
speeds. I am told that the heat goes away if the belly pan is removed, which
is easy to do, and doesn't spoil the appearance much, but haven't tried it
myself yet.
