Re: Summer Riding

Lisa: Living in San Antonio, Texas with temperatures typically in the 100+
range in July, August and September, I have found the most comfortable
motorcycle clothing to be a Vanson perforated leather jacket (Triumph makes
a perforated leather jacket but I have not tried it), a T shirt underneath,
jeans (which are actually hotter than, say, Khakis but you probably look
yuppie (or at least a little strange) wearing Khakis with a leather coat),
and boots. I use a silk "Slick" helmetliner underneath my Arai. If it is
really hot, I take off the T-shirt and soak the T-shirt and helmetliner in
water before the ride. I have been almost cold even on 100+ degree days.
The wet T-shirt look will also increase your popularity. (just kidding
Richard).
