Re: Summer Riding

Lisa,

I've got a closet full of leather (poor cows!)--- perforated, vented, you
name it. I finally plunked down some change for an Aerostitch suit and have
never looked back. Some might affirm that leathers on the track are still
the best, and I wouldn't argue ---- but even riding with perforated leathers
around town/cross country, creates significant limitations. Yes, you can
pull your jacket off at the cafe or gas station, but not your leather pants.
For that reason alone, my Aerostitch goes everywhere ---- while all of my
buddies are tied up in leather (now there's an interesting visual), I can
just slip out of the Aerostich and throw it over a chair ---- the bottom
line is, that during the summer I literally ride around in a t-shirt and
short pants under that suit and stay very comfortable ----- of course the
fashion police have handed out several tickets, because of my dorky look
with t-shirt, short pants accompanied by calf-hi motorcycle boots! (and to
top it off you can chuck the entire suit in the washing machine at the end
of the riding season and it comes out great---- don't forget to take out the
ballstic foam crash panels before washing).

that's my 3cents worth
